Professional Bike Fit and Cycling Analysis by Expert Medical Professionals

Your body is the engine that provides the power to turn the wheels.  Weak links from previous injuries, occupational hazards, and a history of playing a single sport can affect performance and comfort on the bike.  Therefore, your fit will include a thorough physical therapy history and exam so our medical bike fitter can find ways to improve not only the bike, but the engine as well.


         Every bike fit includes:

  • Our evidence-based Physical Therapy Cycling Examination (including alignment, range of motion, and biomechanics/stability/strength) off the bike
  • On the bike assessment of biomechanics, alignment, and strength/stability of the wrists, elbows, trunk, shoulders, head, pelvis, knees, and feetbike fit-8
  • Cleat positioning including wedges/shims if needed
  • Shoe assessment
  • Foot pressure assessment to determine stability of foot in the shoe, mechanics, power leaks, pedal analysis,and force symmetry
  • Saddle pressure assessment to determine pelvis stability, high or low pressure points, saddle fit, power leaks, handlebar position, saddle position and tilt, and overall fit
  • Video
  • Adjustment to bike as needed with fit sheet and measurements
  • Videos of exercises to do off-the-bike

Bike fitting is part ART, part SCIENCE, and part EXPERIENCE. While there are many bike fitting schools out there, we don’t limit ourselves by subscribing to just one way of fitting. Our bike fits are based on medical and bike fit experience, research, state-of-the-art technology, a myriad of medical and cycling courses, and cycling knowledge. Having years of physical medicine experience, we have learned early on that we must test each change we make. We carry that over to our fits. Each fit change gets tested by science, not by a guess.
